Curriculum Framework
We use the Stepping Stones Curriculum, based on principles of EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum, with additions for sensory and communication input. Playing and exploring the children will investigate, experience things and ‘have a go’. Active Learning the children will concentrate, keep on trying if they encounter difficulties and enjoy achieving's. Creating and Thinking Critically the children will develop their own ideas, make links between ideas and develop strategies for doing things. Prime areas are fundamental to a child’s development and support progress in all other areas of the curriculum:

Communication and Interaction - Listening, Attention and understanding and speaking.

Cognition and Learning - Literacy (comprehension, word reading and writing), Maths (number and numerical pattern, shape, space and measure), Understanding the World (past and present, people, culture and communities, the natural world and computing) and Expressive Arts and Design (creating with materials and being imaginative and expressive).

Social, emotional, and mental health - building relationships, managing self and self-regulation.

Sensory and/or physical, medical and/or personal care - Fine motor skills, Gross motor skills and sensory and self-care.
